About our Club
Situated in the village of Barnton, near Northwich, Barnton CC is a multi-sport Club developed from the original Cricket Club which moved to the present Broomsedge site post-war. The Club membership of around 900 play Cricket, Bowls and Squash, plus gentler pursuits such as Dominoes, Darts and Quizzes - all competitively. Originally established in 1880, this family Club plays an important role in the community life of Barnton and the surrounding areas, providing a variety of first-class sporting facilities in the most delightful of settings.
The Club is open all year round, 7 evenings a week plus Sunday lunchtimes, with Hot Food available. Click menu for details of Food availability & Menus. There are Social Events, Prize Bingo, Social Quizzes and Live Entertainment at regular intervals throughout the year and a Golf Section who organise several internal Handicap competitions through the year.
Our CAMRA award-winning bar is run by Club Steward Mike Elliot, serving some of the finest Draught (not Keg!!) Real Ales in the area, with Boddingtons, Hyde's Bitter, Tetley's Bitter, (usually) TWO Guest Ales, Hyde's (Dark) Draught Mild, Hyde's Black, Guinness, Guinness "Extra Cold", plus Carling, Harp Irish and Stella Artois lagers, and draught Strongbow Cider.
Social Membership is currently CLOSED to new members - the Committee will review reopening it after 2008 Renewals come due. Note that new Sports Section members are always welcome - especially if you're any good!! Click here for details of Subs.

We have switched ISPs! This was for technical reasons after me getting Broadband, and is no reflection on VISPA who provided excellent service for several years.
After a few setup teething problems, we are now able to do updates to the Site again.
