Our Philosophy
Little Angels is a private Day Nursery offering full and part time care to children from 6 weeks up to 5 years old.

We provide an exceptional standard of early years care, delivered by the best quality staff in an environment fitted out and equipped to the best possible standards. Your pre-school child needs care, patience, understanding and kindness - all this is offered at Little Angels.

By far the most important ingredient in this blend is our Care Team and you can be sure that each individual staff member has these qualities in abundance.

Each child is appointed to one area in the Nursery and has a designated key person. This is so that the children can become familiar with their surroundings and will be able to form strong, positive realtionships with staff and their peers.

Complaints procedure.
At Little Angels we endeavour to provide the highest standard of childcare, as part of our 'Partnership with Parents Policy', we recognise that it is important that parents and carers are able to discuss any concerns openly and honestly.

If a parent/carer is unhappy for any reason they should, in the first instance, inform the Manager.

The Manager will gain as much information as possible on the nature of the concern and will attempt to rectify the problem as quickly and as efficiently as possible.

All complaints will be investigated fully and recorded in the complaints file. All concerns will be treated with respect & in the strictest confidence.

If, however, for any reason the above procedure fails to resolve a problem to your satisfaction, you can forward your concerns to: OFSTED

Care Team Ratio
At Little Angels we have specifically designed different rooms so that as a child's needs develop, so does their environment. The rooms are predominantly designed around the age of your child with each room having a separate Care Team Ratio. This ratio shows the number of children that one adult has responsibility to work with. Taking the example from the Baby Room, this shows that there is one adult to care for three children (1:3). The older the children get, the higher the Care Team Ratio.

N.B. Care Team Ratios may not apply for children that have additional needs. Individual cases can be discussed with a member of the management Team.

Play Facilities
Little Angels use a wide variety of play facilities to stimulate, amuse & educate your child.

Learning through Play
These areas of learning are then introduced daily through key group activities and child-initiated play. We undertake regular observations to ensure key group activities meet individual children's needs. These observations are then recorded in the child's Learning Journey file. Parents are invited to contribute to the Learning Journey file, by adding comments, photos, etc.

Imaginative Play
A role-play area with dressing-up clothes which is changed regularly; e.g. this may be a house, a shop, a hospital, etc.

Constructive Play
A wide range of constructive toys are available for children to develop their manipulative skills, whilst playing and making models.

Sand and Water
Sand and water are available daily to provide stimulating, mathematical and scientific learning opportunities.

Creative Play
Children are given daily opportunities to be creative. They can paint, draw, colour and stick, as well as explore with natural materials and also malleable materials such as clay, dough and plasticine.

Small World
Small world toys such as a garage, dolls house, farm and zoo animals are always on offer along with a wide selection of puzzles.

                                             
Additional Requirements
At Little Angels we will endeavour to provide activities for each child's individual requirements, including those who may have particular needs or disabilities and may need additional help and support.

We will work alongside parents to respond quickly to any area of particular need and develop strategies to ensure that these needs are being met.

Opening Times
Little Angels is open from 8:00am to 6:00pm, Monday to Friday. Session times are :-

Full day	8:00am to 6:00pm
Morning	8:00am to 1:00pm
Afternoon	1:00pm to 6:00pm

(These times can vary with prior arrangement)

The Nursery will be closed between Christmas and New Year and on all Bank Holidays.

Meals included with a Morning session are Breakfast & Lunch.

Meals included with an Afternoon session are a Snack & Tea.

                                             
Meals and Snacks

Breakfast:	Variety of Cereals, toast and drinks, including fresh juice
Lunch:	Various hot meals from our menu, dessert and drinks
Tea:	Sandwiches, finger buffet, dessert and drinks
Snacks:	A variety of fresh fruit, biscuits and drinks

Vegetarian, gluten free or other dietary requirements can be made available on request.

A choice of milk or water will be on offer at all snack/meal times.

                                             
Fees
Please note that these prices are based on the above session times. Early start is available from 7:00am and late stays until 7:00pm, these need to be booked at least 3 days in advance with the Manager. An additional charge of £8.00 will be made for either additional session.
